Eine neue MuPiBox NG Alpha ist verfügbar: 0.2.0-alpha.23. Hier findest du die Änderungen und Fehlerbehebungen dieser Version.
Was ist neu?
Changes since 0.2.0-alpha.22
NEW – Klang-Memory sound settings (public app version 0.1.2)
- Klang-Memory gains a compact Ton settings popover: per-app sound volume 0–100%, mute at 0%, test note, and persistence across restarts and plugin updates.
- The slider scales relative to the maximum permitted startup volume, not directly to the sound card. E.g. max box 50%, startup 50%, plugin volume 50% gives effective synth amplitude approximately 12.5%.
- The SDK API adds a backward-compatible 4th options argument to audio.playNote: {relative:true}. Existing three-argument callers retain their previous semantics.
- Buttons fit the 800×400 plugin viewport below the shared MuPiBox status header, including controller Left/Right while settings are open.
NEW (EXPERIMENTAL) – USB webcam plugin permission and preview
- The plugin manifest and curated GitHub catalog now support a separate camera permission. This does not grant access to the microphone, arbitrary files or the network.
- Camera APIs are available only on the local Pi touchscreen. An app may list enumerated Video4Linux2 /dev/videoN devices, ask the host to activate a camera, request 320×240 JPEG preview images at around 1fps, and stop.
- Camera access requires two independent decisions: permission approval when installing the app AND explicit confirmation on the trusted touchscreen EACH session. The camera permission prompt is outside the untrusted app iframe, cannot be injected by the plugin, and includes separate Deny/Allow buttons.
- While active, a visible red Kamera aktiv / Stop button sits above the app frame. Leaving the app, hiding the browser or pressing Stop revokes consent. App exit and expired sessions also revoke access.
- Backend protects against arbitrary device paths, camera subprocess injections, forged/remote session tokens, excessive frame size, frame flooding and concurrent high-load capture. FFmpeg uses a bounded 4.5s capture process; no photographs or videos are saved to disk by the host.
- The curated catalog offers the experimental Webcam-Vorschau app v0.1.0 as a camera API reference. It requires an attached compatible USB UVC camera and provides only local still-picture preview (not full live video recording). No webcam was physically attached to test Box 85, so real USB camera capture is not hardware verified.
UNCHANGED
- Existing Qt Quick games, particularly MuPi und die verlorenen Noten, stay in the NG core.
- Existing installed app data and saved Klang-Memory best score remain unchanged by updates.
- The native Pi audio bus, parental controls, app install confirmations, sandbox boundary and signed NG update process are retained.
TESTS
- Plugin SDK Python package/catalog validation and JS tests include relative volume, camera method validation, input path injection and remote preview behavior.
- NG Go security tests cover camera permission, explicit session approval state, device allowlist, local-only access, JPEG validity/size, frame rate, revocation and permission checks. A separate Node test verifies an untrusted app cannot invoke camera.enable and cannot trigger the camera without an actual trusted-parent button click.
- Pi 4 / Box 85: Klang-Memory settings were rendered in Qt WebEngine at 800×400 with volume label 25%, full 400px viewport and no scrollbar. With no webcam connected, camera listing and handling are tested; USB camera capture remains pending.
- Release deployment is subject to CI, Go, JS, Python, i18n, static checks and signed ARM64 artifact verification.
KNOWN LIMITATIONS
- USB camera plugin preview captures still JPEG frames at around 1fps, not continuous 30fps WebRTC streaming.
- Camera permission prompts are local to the box; remote Admin browser preview deliberately cannot access cameras.
- High-resolution cameras and custom driver formats may need future model-specific V4L2 tuning.
- Complete audio stream focus, automatic plugin updates, app-specific child time limits and camera recording features are not part of this release.
