MuPiBox-NG 0.2.0-alpha.28 – Reliable listening-status recognition and safe history reset
FIX: AUDIOBOOK LISTENING STATUS
- Spotify Connect tracks can now count toward their actual album when the playback status does not supply an album context but the verified local album track catalogue contains the recorded track. This fixes a source of missing orange progress rings/green completion badges.
- All known chapters are still required before automatically marking an album fully heard. Unknown/incomplete catalogues are not misreported as complete.
- Checkpoints saved at zero playback position no longer create false "started" statuses.
- The touchscreen requests listening statuses promptly after manual edits, with a roughly 10-second refresh cadence and throttling to avoid redundant full-library API scans on unchanged Home polling.
NEW: LISTENING HISTORY MAINTENANCE
- Admin > Box & controls > Player > Manage / reset listening history: inspect a searchable list of actual listening contexts, including manually marked entries, and reset one title or the full listening history.
- Full reset needs a typed confirmation and a second confirmation; the server requires an Admin password/session and an explicit confirmation token.
- Reset clears only hearing history, manual corrections and sticky album completions. It never deletes audio files, account credentials, photos, favorites, downloads, stored playback/resume positions or unrelated albums.
- Title-specific deletion is transaction-safe and preserves other titles; concurrent playback checkpoint saves and album completion resolution are synchronized with resets.
- All Admin strings localized in seven languages.
TESTS / RELEASE COMPATIBILITY
- Automated tests cover Spotify album recognition without context, guarded Admin access, reset confirmation, per-title and global deletion, unrelated history and resume preservation, manual-only entries, wildcard-containing identifiers and zero-position playback.
- Existing opt-in switch remains OFF on installations where the user has not activated it: enable 'Show listening-status badges on covers' under Player before testing the cover indicators.
- This update makes no data migrations. MuPi game levels 2 and 3 remain intentionally deferred.
- Tester acceptance of external Spotify Connect and live on-device badges remains recommended after upgrade.
