MuPiBox-NG 0.2.0-alpha.27 – Update-screen rotation fix and release-status cleanup
FIX: WAVESHARE 180-DEGREE UPDATE SCREEN
- Standalone install, OS maintenance and updater displays now honour the explicitly saved 0/90/180/270-degree rotation on connected DSI screens, including landscape-native Waveshare 5-inch 800×480 panels.
- Previously, the standalone screen always selected 0 degrees for landscape-native DSI, even when the user had explicitly selected 180 degrees in Admin.
- No change to HDMI output rotation or the native main Qt UI's existing orientation handling. The default remains 0 degrees when no explicit rotation has been configured on a landscape DSI screen.
- Automated regression coverage includes Waveshare saved 180/0, portrait Touch Display 2, HDMI and default fallbacks. Physical screen orientation still requires tester acceptance.
RELEASE STATUS / CLEANUP
- Confirmed that the previously implemented content spreadsheet editor, optional listening badges, Bluetooth headset battery indicator, compact media administration, community-app touch support, photo-save API, wired headphone output, optional media search and strict developer-upload validation were already part of alpha.26. No duplicate implementation is shipped.
- Updated release and hardware acceptance tracking to distinguish code already released from test cases still awaiting physical hardware.
- MuPi & the Lost Notes level 2 and level 3 are intentionally deferred. No game level or related unfinished development branch is shipped in this release.
UPGRADE / SAFETY
- Built as a minimal bug-fix release on top of 0.2.0-alpha.26. Existing media, credentials, plugin data, saved photos and parental settings are not migrated or reset.
- Full Go tests, static analysis, regression checks and signed ARM64 package verification are release gates; real 180-degree display acceptance remains open.
