Was ist neu?
Includes all features of 0.2.0-alpha.20 and fixes the CI internationalization regression.
TOUCHSCREEN COMMUNITY APPS
- Installed and enabled community HTML/JavaScript or Go/WebAssembly .mupiapp packages appear on the touchscreen in Spiele / Games > Apps.
- An on-demand Qt 6 WebEngineView loads the app in a sandboxed child iframe, using touch, keyboard and permitted local controller input, scoped saved scores, and a Back control.
- Existing native games including MuPi und die verlorenen Noten remain untouched.
- QtWebEngine is installed for new DietPi setups and synchronized optionally during upgrades. Existing games work without it.
- Official GitHub App Catalog and manual developer upload remain.
UPDATE FIX
- Fix the optional installer shell-profile step failing with Read-only file system on /root/.hushlogin under systemd ProtectHome.
- Protected user homes are skipped without aborting runtime synchronization.
- Confirmed on Box 85 under a real transient systemd unit with ProtectHome=read-only: exit 0 / SUCCESS.
SECURITY
- Touch API only permits loopback clients and a fixed local host, creating per-app 256-bit time-bound tokens held by the trusted parent document.
- Untrusted iframe scripts cannot access admin sessions, arbitrary host APIs or operating-system resources.
- App and parental Games permissions are checked on launch and during API requests.
- Catalog installs still require explicit Admin approval and hash validation.
FIX IN ALPHA.21
- All added touchscreen app error/status messages are now in the shared DE/EN translation catalog.
- Resolves the hardcoded German text CI failure on alpha.20.
LIMITATIONS
- QtWebEngine increases RAM and CPU while an app is running; it is loaded on demand.
- Publisher signatures, app-level time quotas, automatic catalog updates, RFID app launching and complete PipeWire audio focus remain future work.
- Actual display behavior and audio/controller support should be verified on target hardware after installation.
TESTING
- Real Box 85: Qt WebEngine module imported and QML UI smoke-tested offscreen.
- Update shell-profile script passed under restricted systemd ProtectHome.
- Go touch API, permission, token and storage tests plus Go vet, Admin JS, Python and i18n test suite run before publishing.
