Eine neue MuPiBox NG Alpha ist verfügbar: 0.2.0-alpha.18. Hier findest du die Änderungen und Fehlerbehebungen dieser Version.
Was ist neu?
Changes since 0.2.0-alpha.17
NEW – Independent community plugin manager (developer preview)
- Admin > Provider & Services > Community Apps / Plugins can inspect, import, list, enable/disable and uninstall independently developed .mupiapp packages, subject to Admin authentication and explicit permission approval.
- Web-only API v1 accepts offline HTML/JavaScript apps and Go compiled to browser WebAssembly. Native code execution and third-party QML are not permitted.
- Packages are checked for unsafe ZIP entries, path traversal, symlinks, decompression limits, duplicate paths and unsupported permissions. Updates are installed atomically, and app-specific saved data survives reinstallation.
- Browser preview uses an opaque-origin sandbox, host-controlled storage and minimal bridge methods for context, input and app exit. Controller forwarding is local-only.
- The public MIT-licensed developer SDK and examples are in https://github.com/splitti/MuPiBox-NG-Plugins . Release v0.1.0-preview.2 includes Tic Tac Toe and an independently authored Klang-Memory preview.
- The existing QML games, Piano and Coloring Book stay installed and unchanged. **MuPi und die verlorenen Noten remains in MuPiBox-NG core.**
IMPROVED – Admin media editing
- Cover editing and local audio upload are now compact, collapsible panels arranged side by side on wider screens; a narrow display stacks them.
- Reorder arrows work in the normal content overview, including rows displayed under a sorting setting, without changing protected mixed-collection rules.
- Includes previous alpha.15 features: local drag-and-drop audio upload with folders, spreadsheet-like content editor, safe provider-aware dropdowns, natural episode sorting and category moves.
NEW – Voluntary project donations
- A discreet footer link appears in Admin. A dismissible, optional donation reminder is shown at most once per week per browser; never during child playback.
- The reminder has seven-language coverage and no mandatory donation or effect on playback.
FIXED – Local audio output recovery
- Corrects WirePlumber cold-start races where available HiFiBerry, Pi, MuPiHAT or USB DAC sinks were not discovered, even when ALSA cards existed.
- Adds safe, bounded diagnostics/recovery for local hardware only. Bluetooth and HDMI-only transitions remain protected, with no unsolicited volume increase.
- Admin diagnostics show available ALSA cards, PipeWire devices/sinks and recovery state in all seven languages.
- Retains alpha.16/alpha.17 display recovery and Waveshare 5-inch 180-degree orientation fixes, alpha.15 Bluetooth battery display, and WebDAV runtime dependency installation.
LIMITATIONS / IMPORTANT NOTES
- Plugin runtime is **browser preview only**. Native Qt touchscreen rendering, seamless system audio focus, RFID app launching, child-specific app time budgets, signed plugin store and automatic plugin updates are NOT yet implemented. The 'audio' permission does not grant direct access to PipeWire or host audio APIs.
- Do not install unknown or untrusted .mupiapp packages. There is no publisher signature verification yet.
- Browser preview requires an Admin password and enabled Games service; apps do not receive Admin access or filesystem credentials.
- Hardware acceptance remains open for the newly integrated plugin browser UX and WaveShare/other DSI rotation paths. Back up box settings before updating.
TEST STATUS
- Combined Go tests and targeted Node regression tests, including the plugin manager, donation reminder, compact editor, normal reordering and local audio, are included in this release build verification.
- On Raspberry Pi ARM64 box 85 (isolated unprivileged test root), real Tic Tac Toe and Klang-Memory packages passed install, file read, storage, disable/re-enable, update, uninstall and malformed archive rejection. This does NOT prove native touchscreen support.
- Report any problem with the diagnostic ZIP, exact hardware/display, alpha version and reproducible steps.
