Raspberry Pi and operating system
NG targets 64-bit DietPi on compatible Raspberry Pi devices. A Raspberry Pi 4 is a practical reference device for the modern touchscreen interface; check the documentation for supported models and current installation requirements.
Screen, sound and controls
Common setups use a 5-inch Waveshare DSI display or another supported screen. Audio may be local, through supported hardware, or Bluetooth. Optional GPIO buttons and a rotary encoder provide tactile controls.
Optional components
MuPiHAT enables integrated battery-related functions; RFID readers and additional accessories can be configured as needed. GPIO assignments depend on your chosen hardware, so verify pin compatibility before wiring anything.
